Someone from LONDON FASHION WEEK!

So my final project is officially over, we all did our presentations to show our work to the group and that went really well, there are still some little things I need to make sure I get done like the technical drawings, but other than that I think it turned out really well!

Because college isn't Mon - Fri during the days we do have off I just had to fill my time with something productive!!

So while scanning though the photos from London fashion week again deciding what pictures I acutally want to include in my units, I came across this lady who was wearing this amazing dress, I mean the colours were just crazy and the pattern was sick! so i knew i had to do something with this, and while going over what i wanted to do and how i could change the dress i kept seeing it in grayscale i don't know why but i really really liked this i also changed acouple of other things, i changed the Neckline, i didn't want anything to interrupt the print, then i cut off the sleeves, because i like sleeveless aha, and then i changed the Hemline because i wanted it longer and i think it adds something classy to it, also the pattern has become quite stretched, Hope you all Like!

These are the new designs!

This is after i sketched out what i wanted, then i went over it with a 0.1 fine liner

The Grayscale!!

The images below are practice of a new (new to me) image transfer technique.
Its done by printing out your image and putting it facedown then using some kind of tissue or cotton wool to apply the Nail Vanish remover, now i have only just found out that the type of printer used actually matters, the image needs to be a toner printer not a laser printer, im not sure what one i printed on because i printed at college maybe that's why it didn't turn out that good!

Fashion Drawings YEYY!!

So after the initial designs and the flats come the Fashion Designs which is the really fun part because you have to show them on a model,
thought-out this unit I have really found my love for watercolours and they really stand out here yey! but they don't have legs yet only because I don't know what im going to do with them yet hmmm...

So these images below are all trail and samples of what I would eventually draw on the water colour paper!

Below are the finally designs, I used water colours, I wanted to use them loosely because I didn't want to fill in the picture as a hole I like the hints of colour!

The book I used for the background is my favourite book twilight, I cut out the shape of the hair and placed the book pages underneath it.

Inspiration comes in many forms...

I don't know where it comes from but I have a fascination with butterflies and thing they are just magical, it is quite strange though because I have a chronic phobia (Phobia may be a strong word) of moths, they are the devils spawn just thinking about them is making my skin CRAWL yuck!!.

I got inspired by this blue morpho butterfly!

Working on my 4 Flat Drawings

So as Part of Creating our new jacket, we also had to create 4 Flat drawing to accompany the  4 original Designs.

Full Chained Jacket

The flat drawings below are of the my Chained Jacket on the right!

As for the Back, until I came to these Flats I hadn't really given much though to what the back will look like so as a last minute choice I wanted to get the back a lil flare!

My Half Chained Jacket

Below are the Flat drawings!

Again with this Back I never thought about the back of the jacket, so I thought I would like the chains run in symmetry.

My Zipper Jacket

I designed this Jacket so you could unzip a whole panel!

My Tail Jacket

This Flat went a little wrong but everyone gets the idea aha!
